How to: Screenshot and Upload a Picture

This could be similar for other machines but for this guide I am going to be using Windows 7.This should work with newer and older versions of Windows though. Note there are easier ways to simply take a picture but you have to download a program like Fraps which costs money.

Taking a Screenshot.
Taking a screen shot is really easy but first you have to locate certain keys. For a standard keyboard you will need to find, Ctrl (Control), Alt, and Print Scr (Print Screen). Control and Alt should be on the lower left quadrant of your keyboard next your Windows key. The Print Screen key sould be located above your number pad or above your backspace depending on keyboard size. Hold Control, then Alt, following Print Screen. After doing so you should have captured the picture. Now you're going to have to save it.

Some keybaords have a key called FN. If you have that key and the method above doesn't work hold FN, then Print Screen and then the photo should be captured.

Saving and Cropping the Picture:
Now you have the picture taken and you need to open Paint. Paint can be found but either going into your programs and finding accessories and clicking paint. If you are completely clueless how to do that you can click the windows button and type Paint into search programs and files and it should show up. After having paint open you are going to want to press Ctrl (control) + V It should instantly load into the Paint Document. Edit and Crop to your liking save the file and you're ready to move to the next step.

Uploading the File to TinyPic
After having the picture saved to wherever you saved it you will want to head over to the internet. I use Google Chrome but you can use any browser, all of them will work the same. Go to, http://www.TinyPic.com It should automatically load you to a page where you can upload an image. You don't have to create an account for TinyPic but if you want your pictures to save on a profile you can. Click Choose File and find your paint document. It gives you the option of: Image, Video, URL. You want to make sure its on Video. You can re size to your liking and then click Upload Now You will be asked to complete a captcha whch is mandatory and simply follow the security thing so they know you're not a bot. Copy The IMG code and paste it wherever you want the picture to show up on the forums.
